Product Description

DR-1049 is based on chlorinated polypropylene resin and is used for polypropylene primer coating . Polypropylene plastic has low weight, low cost, and has excellent physical properties, chemical resistance, and heat resistance, therefore it is widely used, but due to its crystal structure and non-polar surface cause difficulty in adhesion, thus limiting its application. DR-1049 can solve this problem because it has excellent adhesion for polypropylene plastics , and it has excellent adhesion for the surface coating made from polyurethane, acrylic, amino, and epoxy or alkyd resin . DR-1049 commonly used as adhesion accelerator for  polyolefin automotive bumper coatings. In addition, DR-1049 can also establish structural adhesion between  polypropylene and other materials such as aluminum foil, fiber paper, polyester.

Application

(1) Excellent adhesion enhancement effect on PP and PP/EPDM substrates
(2) Good compatibility, can be directly added to acrylic acid and alkyd acid
(3) Excellent interlayer adhesion with topcoat coatings, such as polyester
/Melamine baked paint and polyurethane system.
(4) Good low-temperature stability of the solution (20% toluene solution, 5 ºC)
(5) Dissolve DR-1049  by toluene or xylene and stir it as 20% solution
(6) When mixing with resin, please test the optimal ratio first.
(7) Plastic composite adhesive/bumper polypropylene adhesive.
(8) PP, PET, ABS, PVC adhesive materials.
(9) Heat resistant ink adhesive/anti-corrosion coating adhesive

Storage
